No food festival is complete without a demonstration from one or two local chefs.
Tom has been out and about this summer sharing tips and recipes from his repertoire.
WOKINGHAM FESTIVAL - SUNDAY 30TH AUGUST
Held in Elms Field in the centre of Wokingham this was a fabulous event buzzing with food stalls and live music.
Tom started his demonstration with citrus confit salmon and then went on to show his tasty barbecued lamb with sweetcorn.
GORING & STREATLEY FOOD & DRINK FESTIVAL - SUNDAY 13TH SEPTEMBER
This was the very first food and drink festival for Goring and will hopefully become a regular event in the calendar. Organised by Michelle Brachet and Shannon Robinson the event was a great success and was very well attended by locals and people from further afield.
Demonstrations took place in the village hall throughout the weekend. Tom's slot was on Sunday afternoon and he prepared sea trout with cucumber and dill followed by his 'mushroom' dessert.
... and Sam gave a helping hand on the day as well!
Well done to the organisers of both events and thank you for inviting us along. We'd love to come back again next year if you will have us!
